What is a Builders Clean?
A builders clean is a specialized professional post-construction clean for new or renovated properties. It is the final stage of the building process that transforms a building site into an inviting, move-in ready family home. It is also an important opportunity for the builder or site manager to discover and rectify minor defects before handover to the client. It helps to showcase the detail of excellence that the builder has strived for during the building process.
Our Builders Clean process

Floors: We begin with a thorough vacuum of the building with particular attention on window and sliding door tracks. Window and door tracks generally contain lots of debris and dust.

Windows: After removing all stickers and paint overspray, windows are washed with soapy water and squeegeed dry, inside and out. They are then spot checked for and blemishes.

Bathrooms and kitchen: All cupboards and draws are vacuumed and wiped clean. Surfaces are wiped and may sometimes require a light scrape with a window blade to remove silicon and other debris.

Floor and wall tiles: Wall tiles and splashbacks are thoroughly scrubbed to remove excess grout, and then buffed. Floor tiles undergo a 7-step clean to remove grout haze. This includes an acid wash, rinse, dry and buff.

One off clean: This often suits custom builders and involves a total deep clean just prior to handover

Two stage clean: This often suits project builders and includes a full deep clean (often referred to as a final clean), followed by a handover clean (or sparkle clean) a week later, just before handover.

Three stage clean: This is ideal for volume project builders. The first clean (or initial clean) usually includes window cleaning before screens are installed, and floor cleaning around the wall edges, prior to silicon sealing. The second, or final clean (sounds confusing right?), is a full deep clean of the property. This is ideal for finding minor defects. The third clean is the handover or sparkle clean, which usually occurs a day or two before handover to the client. Usually, some minor sanding and paint touch ups have occurred since the final clean, so the handover clean ensures that everything is squeaky clean for handover.

Pricing
Quotes are calculated in relation to the size of the property (per square metre), and according to the type of clean required. For example, a handover clean is charged at a considerably lower rate than a full deep clean.
